Dear Anton,
I can not rule out a low flying airplane or helicopter completely. The time fits to many eyewitness reports. This seems to be a quite exciting event. There is even a report of a thunder noise:
"Ich habe auch gestern gegen 22:30 Uhr den Boliden gesehen. Ich hatte gerade mein Gerödel aufgebaut und wollte den Sucher ausrichten, als ich dachte, mich strahlt jemand mit einer Taschenlampe an. Als ich raufgeschaut habe sah ich überall Schatten und den Boliden über mir in Richtung Süden fliegen. Ich glaube, er ist in 3 Teile zersprungen und dann vom blauen ins grünliche Verglüht. Ich hab mal ausgerechnet: Wenn der Bolide in einer Höhe von 30Km auseinandergebrochen ist, dauert es ca. 87 sec. bis der Schall angekommen ist. Das deckt sich ungefähr mit dem, was ich gehört habe, ein leichtes grollen. Ürigens habe nicht nur ich das gehört, auch die Vögel in der Gegend schienen plötzlich ganz nervös zu werden." So ein User aus Lohne."
Lohne is a town in about 7km distance to Vechta. The double trail may indicate that the object was separated in two parts, or it is an artifact of the front window of the camera housing (less likely). However, the reports are somewhat confusing. Some say it was at 22:45, others report 22:30. Some say if moved from south to north, others report a movement from north to south. The object on the image has moved from southwest to northeast. I hope there will be images from the fireball network.
