Yes, it's a 22-degree halo around the moon. BTW, it's there again in Kiruna (Sweden), and also on the webcam in Sodankylä (Finland): http://dkcmzc.chemie.uni-mainz.de/~riet ... l/SGO.HTML. No halos here in Bodø tonight (it's snowing), but I took some pictures last night. Now I need lots of aurora, halos etc. to fill up the film.
That moon halo you got I noticed there is also parhelic circle. Speaking of moon halos I got a few with a new camera I got a couple months ago and its a Nikon D-100. Its expensive but I can do daytime and nightime photography and I got a macro and fisheye lenses
Last month I got two halos displays featuring 9 degree ring.
I don't think the parhelic circle is there. The very clear line going through the halo and the moon (but not in the middle) is definitely on the chip (you can see it all the time). There are some fainter lines, but I think they are on the chip, too. BTW, it's not me who took the picture, it's from the webcam in Kiruna (http://misato.irf.se/sky_kiruna/hoge.html). As I said, my pictures are still in the camera. I don't have a digital camera yet.
