Ich vermute es sind kleine Glasperlen, die hier anstelle don Wassertropfen einen "Regenbogen" hervorrufen. Das erklärt (wie beim Regenbogen) warum das Bild im innern des Kreises heller ist.
Glas hat einen größeren Brechungsindex als Wasser, daher wird das Licht stärker gebrochen und der Kreis erscheint kleiner als ein normaler Regenbogen (Der ja an kleinen Wasserkugeln entsteht).

Ich denke auch, dass ein "Regen"bogen ist, der durch was anderes als Regentropfen erzeugt ist.
Tippe auf Eis (Graupel), falls es eine natürliche Erscheinung ist.
Ansonsten könnte ich mir auch Öltröpfchen vorstellen.
Bin gespannt auf die Lösung...

Hello Croli,


I have the exact explanation for that colorful ring at the construction site. What it it's a glass bead bow caused by light doing the same thing it does in rain drops. The bow's radius is 28 degrees due to the higher refractive index of glass. Those same glass beads are used to make the paint on the edge of the road reflective so you can see it better when your car headlights shine on it. Sometimes after fresh paint has been sprayed down on the edge of a road or parking lot look for the what I call the road paint bow.
