wie hier schon gepostet wurde, fielen in letzter Zeit öfters SOHO-Daten gerade dann aus, wenn CMEs zu erwarten waren, so z.B. in der Nacht auf den 1. Januar.
Lutz hat dies u.a. auch im STD-Forum angesprochen, worauf sich Cary Oler vom STD mit den SOHO-Offiziellen in Verbindung gesetzt hat. Hier die Antwort aus dem STD-Forum:

It was mentioned earlier on this forum that the outages seemed to coincide with large Earthward-directed events. In other words, when a big event occurs, there were concerns that they may have shut the pipeline down. The answer is what I suspected, but I now have it from the "horses mouth."
The SOHO data stream is picked up by numerous deep space network stations around the world. Each data stream is fed to the operations center where it is assembled together, bit by bit (literally). There are often times when the data might not get entirely transmitted, or might get slightly corrupted, resulting in bad images when they are assembled. Depending on the nature of the problem producing the bad images, the machines that handle the data may follow instructions that can cause data outages. Sometimes, the flow of data to the web sites is halted until the problem can be analyzed by staff and the problem corrected. At other times, only one or two image frames may be missed (skipped). The data stream from SOHO to the web sites where the public see the material passes through six other computer systems before making it on the web. If any of those machines chooses to hold the data or hang until a problem can be corrected, the flow of data that we see on the web will stop.
That is the cause of the data outages. I hope that helps.
