Hello,
Last summer on July the 17th 2001 I got a high-sun halo display that had a fine but sharply colored 22d halo and a nice circumhorizontal arc which got bright in a small area in a cirus cloud mass. Jarmo Moilanen believes it may be an infralateral arc at high sun because the 22d halo has a sharp brightly colored ring like a circumscribed halo when the sun is almost directly overhead and because of it being so high the circumscribed halo takes the same shape of the 22d halo. Also since infralateral arc requires the same orientation this is why Jarmo believes it could be an infralateral arc but I can't see why not because at high elevations it takes on the shape of the circumhorizontal arc. The images are not online but whoever wants to see them email me.
Best,
Michael
