Nachtrag Radioaurora 20.11

heute erreichte mich eine Mail von Alex aus Rom, inder er
beschreibt, wie er seine erste Auroraverbindung auf 144MHz
hatte. Das letzte mal war dies aus der Gegend von Rom 1991 möglich.
Auch aus dieser Sicht ein einmaliges Ereignis.

Hi to all,

sry for delay due to qrl ....
On last 20th "Miss AU" has knocked at my door too, here at 25 km North of
Rome in JN62fb.
Last time that AU was worked here on 2m was on 13th July 1991 by IK0SMG with
an EME ant system.
My condx is only 16 el. I0JXX ly and 80 Watt.

Last thursday the 20th I was working on my PC when I rx a phone call by
Sergio IK0FTA announcing me AU tones on 6m ...
immediately I've gone on my shack and I find the magical "puff" tones also
on 2m too...really hard work to do to be heard from any station.
I was really enthusiastic, "like a pig in the mud" like Mau YXK says, when
DF2ZC answer to my call .. I made my first qso on 2m AU ... also the 1st qso
down here in Rome after 12 years. Really really happy ..tnx guys to all.
My qsl card are all on the way via the bureau...

Hallo Thomas,

diese Freude als Funkamateur auf 144MHz so schöne, wenn auch in der Qualität eingeschränkte Weitverbindungen erleben zu dürfen, macht mich gelinde gesagt neidisch. Leider bin auf 2m momentan nicht gut ausgerüstet. Eher schon auf Kurzwelle. Aber das wird sich nach inzwischen vierjähriger Abstinenz auch bald ändern.
Von Karsten Hansky (DL3HRT) hatte ich vor einiger Zeit mal eine Audio-Probe einer solchen Auroraverbindung erhalten. Es ist schon gewöhnungsbedürftig - aber unverwechselbar.
Man kann so richtig die Freude von Alex aus Rom herausspüren
