Bericht: Der Mond wollte Mars werden : )

Die Sichtbedingen waren sehr gut. 0/8
Schattenterminator bereits Archimedes.

that would have been crazy ...

Thanks Peter for the poetic and scientific report, very nice !

I saw the eclips at the Amsterdam planetarium (in the Zoo) where me and two colleague amateur astronomers had erected our telescopes to show the Moon, Mars and Saturn to about 1500 people during the "Amsterdam open Museum" night. A passe partout for 10 Euro or so allows you to visit all Amsterdam musea in one night and every museum has an alternative program. Like Salsa dancing lessons in front of Rembrandt's Nightwatch painting etcetera. We had a constant waiting line of at least 25 persons waiting, really nice, and a DJ played dance music while other groups visited the animals at night.

Oh wel, imagine that the X28 plus happened last Friday Earth, was Earth directed and the aurora would be zenithal during the total phase of the eclipse ...

I'd say astronomers and amateur astronomers after that would be greeted everywhere where they would go, people would listen silently and write down every word we'd say, world peace would be declared immediately by all parties and I'd say it's time for me to go to sleep.

Oh well, greetings, JanL

Hi Jan,

LOL. I have some things to add: The WHO (World Health Organization) would take action, PLD would be included in the next version of the ICD (International Classification of Diseases), health resorts for people with PLD would be built in Northern Scandinavia and Alaska, and health insurances would pay for the journey and stay, and people who are not infected yet would be asked to stay inside with the curtains drawn in case of aurora.
