Polarlicht auch in Antalya, Türkei

diese Sichtungsmeldung finde ich so aussergewöhnlich, dass ich sie aus der langen STD-Liste hier mal reinkopiere.

UTC Date/Time of Observation: 2003/11/20 at 22:08 for 01 hours 00 minutes.

Dimmest Stars Visible: 5th to 6th Mag.

Estimated Intensity of Activity: Low

Elevation angle of activity above horizon: 60 degrees

Types of activity observed: (Diffuse Glows)

Light Pollution: Low

Sky Conditions (cloudy or not): Clear View

Estimated Lunar Interference: None

Comments: This is the first observation of an aurora in our observatory. Actually, this is the first reported aurora activity in this region of Turkey.
