Hallo zusammen,
in der Nacht zum 25. August konnte ich wieder ordentlich grünen Airglow aufnehmen. Nachts wird hier in Kirchhain die Beleuchtung ausgeschaltet, sodass man auch in der Stadt Fotos machen konnte. Am Himmel war auch eine diffuse Helligkeit auszumachen. Ich habe mal den Airglow etwas besser herausgearbeitet, damit man die Streifenstrukturen gut erkennen kann. Anbei zwei Bilder:
Außerdem hätte ich noch eine Frage, bzw. wollte mal die Meinung anderer hören: Airglow-Beiträge sind im Gegensatz zu Polarlicht deutlich weniger, vielleicht macht es Sinn einen gesammelten Beitrag zu machen (pro Monat)?

We got also a nice display, recovering almost all the sky during that night, especially between 21:00 and 03:00 UTC
Here is a video of the time-lapse from this night, with a configuration able to enhance the effect of the airglow:

The picture enhancement is the following:
- every 4 picture taken, the minimum of eight picture is done, in order to make the stars disappear (except the ones near the polar star)
- the result is blurred (with radius equal to 2 pixels)
- then the whole has its histogram stretched in order to get the airglow more visible
- and finally the saturation is pushed to its maximum.
The final result is not the most natural, but the dynamics in the airglow is well visible.
Here is a extract from the video, approximately corresponding to what was there at 2:00 UTC:
