Chaotische Tage in Sachen Weltraumwetter erwartet

Hallo!

Folgende Mail habe ich eben von Cary Oler (STD) erhalten.
Ich denke, sie könnte den einen oder anderen interessieren.
Im Prinzip gehts eigentlich nur darum, dass die ganzen schwachen full halo CMEs für ein einziges Chaos bei den Modellierern sorgen und eigentlich keiner genau weis, wann jetzt was ankommt und wie es sich verhalten könnte.
Im Prinzip tappen also nicht nur wir Amateure sondern auch die Profis massiv im dunkeln. Die einen etwas mehr, die anderen etwas weniger.
Aber für das komplette Wochenende und den Anfang der nächsten Woche gibt es wieder nur eine Devise: "Abwarten und auf gute Bedingungen im Sonnenwind hoffen!"

In my opinion, the CME has not arrived. What you are seeing in the Phi
angles is more probably just a rotation following the magnetic cloud passage
of yesterday. We're still expecting a CME impact. This is supported by the
elevated densities of high energy protons, as well as the persistent
elevated nature of EPAM's low-energy particles. Something is still out
there. And now we have at least one new full halo CME to contend with
(likely earthward-directed). This activity is proving to be exceedingly
difficult to model/predict. There is so much interaction going on and the
diffuseness of the events makes it difficult to establish physical
quantities upon which to base model runs. The next several days are likely
going to be very complex in terms of what the Earth see's.
