aurora possible

Beitrag von janlameer » 17. Jul 2004, 00:29

Hi
02:10 local (00 UT) at Teschelling, Netherlands
Bz at -16 andensity 11 protons sounds to visible aurora = yes to me.
We're having low clouds here now, but I'll go to the Northseabeach with camera just in case there are no clouds on the northern horizon.
Also Canopus predicts 6++ for the coming hour, STD has shifted to brown.
thumbs up ! JanL

there were too many clouds to make a difference between aurora and twilight.
At times I saw milky way at zenith but in the north there was much haze.
oh well, better next time
