Nikon 10.5/f2.8 AF-S DX fisheye lens issue

Beitrag von Timo Kuhmonen » 8. Mär 2022, 16:42

hi,

Does anyone have similar Nikon lens on use, for example in halo photography? I do have some issues with it.

I can take images with that lens, but there is some kind of extra "bright point" inside of lens cell visible. To me it looks like defect. I suspects it is a small part of chipped paint, on back side of front lens. It moves same time, as the focus ring is turned. Based on photo, there could be bright metal surface visible. I have not yet seen this issue affecting the photos (ie bright reflections or similar)

I bought lens already 2007. So no active warranty at the moment. Photos behind these links...

structure of lens construction is shown here
