Heutiger Solar Flux auf Rekordniveau!

Hi,
am heutigen Abend hat der 10,7cm Solar Flux den höchsten Wert seit knapp 10 Jahren erreicht (279.3 sfu) und somit logischerweise auch einen neuen Maximalwert für den 23.Zyklus aufgestellt. Wahnsinn.

And to make it even better: most auroral storms usually occur after solar max (due to most sunspots near solar equator).
Also, the number of auroral storms observed in the past are not good comparison material for this solar cycle: there are many more observers that file reports to the internet and also the observers are warned.
One cycle ago there was just no warning system at all.
I think the major part of auroral solar storms is still to come this fall and next spring.
