Geomagnetic and Auroral Activity
Bei STD Latest Plots steht:

An unexpected shock front has been detected in the solar wind near 13:41 UTC. This disturbance should reach the earth by about 14:28 UTC and has the potential to produce periods of active to minor geomagnetic storm activity during the next 12 to 18 hours. There is also a chance for periods of minor auroral storm activity over the upper-middle and higher latitude regions during this time. The source of this disturbance is being investigated, but may be related to the full halo CME observed on the 14th which was thought to be backsided.
Solar Activity Update
M-class flare activity is possible from Region 431. No other significant activity is expected at this time.

Leider steht der Bz steil auf Nord.
Vielleicht aendert sich das ja noch zum spaeteren Abend...
