Hallo!
Unten ein Posting von Cary Oler aus dem STD Forum.
Darin sagt er, was ich anhand des Rückblicks auf das Bastille-Event auch schon angedeutet habe.
Wir sind zur Zeit noch in der äußeren Haut des CME.
Es ist damit zu rechnen, dass wir eine magnetische Blase des CME in ein paar Stunden erreichen und dann für längere Zeit durchqueren werden.
Innerhalb dieser Blase wird das IMF langsam aus Nord in die Südausrichtung rotieren.
Die Phase mit südlichem IMF wird dabei länger sein, als die mit nördlichem. Damit ist von zeitlichen Ablauf Europa mit Sicherheit recht bevorteilt, wobei mir bei klarem Himmel schon alleine das Einschlagen der Schockfront heute morgen gereicht hätte.

Ulrich is right. This one isn't over yet, despite what you may be seeing in
the data. We're still passing through the sheath region of the CME. Given
the location of the CME, the size of the flare, and the very favorable
location of the heliospheric current sheet, we SHOULD see a magnetic cloud
event with this disturbance. What does that mean? It means the Earth could
pass through a "bubble" (of sorts) in space where the strength of the
magnetic field becomes enhanced and slowly rotates in direction. If the
models are right, we could see rotation from the north to the south with a
longer duration southward event than northward. This means that activity may
be a bit on the bland side at first, followed by intensification later in
the disturbance. The initial shock front produced significant severe
storming. Activity is now subsiding following a sustained northward turning
(positive Bz values). It will be interesting to see if that changes over the
coming hours.
