Latest Geomagnetic and Auroral Activity Conditions
Updated: 05:55 UTC 15 November (12:54 am EDT, 15 November):
A shock front though to have originated from the long-duration M-class solar flare and high-velocity coronal mass ejection of 13 November from Region 501, has been observed passing the ACE spacecraft. A respectable southward turning of the IMF has been associated with this disturbance, which has the potential to begin producing periods of minor to severe geomagnetic storm activity, and possible attendant auroral activity enhancements as well.
Bernhard
