Crepuscular rays / wolkenstrahlen

Beitrag von Timo Kuhmonen » 27. Mai 2007, 12:08

Hallo,

Thanks for the fine forum. I wanted to share these images with you.
These crepuscular rays were photographed in Finland on September 2006, at Saana fell (located in north-western part of Finland) Images are converted to B&W in the photoshop. Hopefully the images can tell something about the peaceful feelings I had during observing, these were the best rays I have seen so far...

Viele Grübe,
Timo K

Tervetuloa Forumiin!

Your Crepuscular rays are very impressive. Do you take photographs in black/white once in a while?

Hauskaa helluntai!
Claudia

I'm pleased to join the forum. I do B&W photography, once in while. In my opinion black and white suits some of the atmospheric phenomenon photos, not to all though... -> I usually make "case-by-case desicion" These particular images did not had much color information, so I decided to go to B&W. After I got my digital camera, I have mainly done digital photography.

regards,
-Timo K.-

PS: Last weekend there was a first observed (for me) thunderstorm and lightning, in southern Finland. Forecasts promised here some thunderstorms for this week, appearing in 3...4 days between monday - friday. I also am, with the other observers, waiting for the first NLC display to happen within end of May / beginning of June, hopefully...
