CME v. 9.7.

PRESTO FROM SIDC - RWC BELGIUM Mon Jul 11 2005, 1212 UT
Later today, we expect the arrival of the halo CME from late July 9, accompanied by an M1.2 flare from active region NOAA 0786 (N12W28, cat 96). Its projected speed was estimated at 1000 km/s. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to reach active to major storm levels. Reminder: This region is returning active region NOAA 0775, which had produced several LDEs during past rotation. See the weekly bulletins (week 23 & 24) for an overview of this past activity: http://sidc.oma.be/html/SWAPP/index.php3. Because of its magnetic configuration more strong flares are expected from this region. While rotating over the west limb active region NOAA 0783 (Cat 91) gave a C9.9 flare peaking at 15:16 UT on July 10. It was accompanied by a very westward directed CME. No proton event was triggered.

habe ich morgens um die Zeit auch gedacht, aber das Teil hat sich, von
Deiner Message an gerechnet, noch über 3,5 Stunden Zeit gelassen...

War auch kein so toller Impact. Aber wie heißt es so schön: steter Tropfen höhlt den Stein; und eine Reihe schwacher Schockfronten bringt die Magnetosphäre auch ein wenig in Wallung, zumindest wenn Bz so schön lange negativ ist...

Habe da inzwischen etwas den Überblick verloren, ist eigentlich noch was unterwegs? (Protonen am EPAM steigen schon wieder...)
