Dann neuer Einsatz, neues Chance, neues Glueck...

STD Update 21:35 UTC 24 August
Updated: 21:35 UTC 24 August (5:35 pm EDT, 24 August)
Geomagnetic and Auroral Activity Update
Geomagnetic and auroral actvity is gradually subsiding following the arrival of a coronal mass ejection from the recent major class M5 solar flare.
The possibility of observing auroral activity from mid-latitudes is decreasing rapidly.
However, even though the disturbance is subsiding, residual post-storm activity may still produce periods of visible auroral activity over mid-latitude locations tonight over North America.
But don't expect anything particularly impressive.
Solar Activity Update
An additional major flare is possible from Region 798 as it departs the western solar limb, but any activity from that region is not expected to be geoeffective here at the Earth.
