Skies were clear at dawn on the 29th January, perhaps a last chance to seek PSCs ahead of more inclement weather while temperatures over the area remain around -80 C at 30 hPa as per upper charts. Again, there was some very faint white streaks, and there did seem a diffuse blue-white area above where the sun would be below the horizon, almost akin to a bishop's ring. There also appeared to be a very weak purple light at around 0745 UT so maybe there was a trace of type I present.
