Yep, it is amusing to several times find that image used as an illustration of a fireball, as it was positively identified as an airplane contrail.

Sorry, no automatic detection from Kopenhagen, and the archive exposures only shows the glare in thin clouds from the rising sun.

The fireball has been reported by four witnesses in Denmark and Sweden, and was photographed from Kopenhagen:

Directions for each end of the trail:
Alt = 10.6, Az = 155.7 deg
Alt = 6.7, Az = 158.6 deg
Uncertainty about 0.3 deg

Congratulations to Thomas for an outstanding effort that was rewarded with a meteorite find long after we Danes had given up trying to find anything. With the difficult cloudy conditions, I am amazed that it was possible to pinpoint the fall location.

Have you tried using the RAD Video Tools for converting the .MOV?
I worked fine for me, making an uncompressed .AVI, suitable for further processing.

Sure could be a meteor, but could also be much else.
There seems to be some powerful spotlights illuminating the building and flags from below - maybe a bird is flying through the light?

From Brorfelde (55.625N 11.663W), the azimuth angles are:
Start 155 deg, End 154 deg.
This places the fireball close to Berlin, but due to the short baseline and long distance, the north-south intersection is quite uncertain.
